Flash is a technology that offers a lot of richness and eye candy - however by default, the SEO of flash based websites is appalling. If your website is a marketing tool (which it should be) then make sure your web developer understands how to design a search engine friendly flash website.

Google have recently announced that they have improved their algorithm

I'd expect this would be a welcome change for many web developers,
