Google has benevolently given my blog sitelinks. It's been a long time coming, and it would be fair to say I'm pleased as punch about the whole thing - I was wondering if it was ever going to happen.
Google love
If Google continues this trend and approves our Summer of Code application for Jojo CMS, it's going to be one big bundle of Google love around here. Thanks, big guy.
Edit:
It looks like there might have been an algo shift in the last couple of days in relation to Sitelinks. After checking a little further, I noticed that at least 5 of my other sites have been given sitelinks as well.Anyone else notice a change? Possibly Google made it easier to get Sitelinks when they added the new search box below authority sites?

Hi Steve,
It's been #1 for "ragepank" since day 1 - but this is the first time the sitelinks (to the subpages) have appeared.
Getting a domain that includes keywords makes it *much* easier to rank for those keywords. But for each domain you get, you need to build links and promote it, which can water down your marketing efforts.
Generally speaking, I prefer to get a brandable domain name with no keywords in it, and work on promoting it for the long term (eg RagePank).
For spammier websites, the keyword-laden domains are great because they are easier to get ranking.
It's a fine balance between designing sites for people, and for search engines.

From what I can see its not an authority link in the normal sense, its only because you typed in part of the domain name. When you can see this with the keywords that you want to rank for then you have an authority link. Something definitely changed in the Algorithm for sure though. I notice alot of my sites that I promote are getting these authority links, however mine at www.blackwoodproductions.com doesnt have one yet. Love the site man, take care.

Mr RagePannk,
It seems that now 2 months later when you type in blackwoodproductions, I do now have an authoritative link which I did not have on Mar 24. I have been doing alot of link building for my inner pages so maybe that had something to do with my Search Engine Optimization Google Authority link? By the way Im at the top of the 2nd page for Search Engine Optimization now so just abit more and I will be there. :)

Perhaps you can answer of question of mine in an upcoming blog entry or e-mail. I noticed a lot of people buy multiple domain names and point them to the same site or a mirror images. This is often done with city names, like www.pet_supplies_in_san_diego.com, www.pet_supplies_in_los_angeles.com etc.
Does the search engine recognize this tactic? Does it help or hurt? What’s the best approach to do this?
Thanks,
Steve
