New-look Google Analytics

Looks like Google are having a play with the layout of Google Analytics.

First thoughts - it looks cool. Certainly seems to be faster, and it looks more simplified (not always a good thing).

I'm yet to really drill into it, but some of the changes are...
  • Wider "visits" graph, which by default spans a month instead of a week.
  • A nice "timeline" feature which makes selecting a daterange a breeze.
  • Default traffic sources pie chart shows traffic as "search engines", "direct" and "referral". Previously this showed specific search engines, which I thought was more useful. Good to see the "other" category gone though, which typically accounted for a lot of traffic for me.
  • Lots of other changes

Overall, I'm looking forward to checking this out more. Nice one Google.

I like this new look, but I noticed that something was missing, the most recient Results. For some reason the new graph isn't as updated as the old graph so it takes longer for you to get your immediate results. This is keeping me using the old graph to see how my Traffic changed for yesterday as compared to the new graph that only shows more then 24 hours ago. Sometimes Immediate Results are better Result.s
